Today, I am continuing my reflections on the love of God. I am referring to a couple of verses written by the apostle Paul:
“This is good and pleases God our Saiour, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men…” (1 Timothy 2:3-5 NIV).
The good news is: God wants all men to be saved. The way of salvation is open to all.
God offers His salvation to all men, regardless of race or ancestry. Humans’ likes or dislikes do not limit God. He invites Russians and Ukrainians, Jews and Palestinians.
God’s invitation is for the rich and the poor, for the strong and the weak; for black and white. God does not require professional qualifications or intellectual wit from those desiring to be saved.

God is interested in saving men and women who are in political power. Paul instructs Christian believers to pray for all men, for kings and for all “that are in authority.” (cf. 1 Timothy 2:1+2).
Political leaders are doing many things. Some of their decisions affect the lives of many.
Some great men do neglect the rights of others. They have opportunities and the power to do so. Yet God’s invitation is even for them: Repent, change your mind, change your life, stop doing evil and learn to do good. Have faith in Jesus Christ and receive His forgiveness.
Jesus is a mediator between God and men. He has given “himself as a ransom for all men.”
On these grounds, I like to challenge you today:
Call on Jesus, pray to Him. Confess your sins and receive His forgiveness! Invite Him to be the Lord of your life. Through Jesus, your relationship to God can be restored!
You may pray with these words:
“Lord Jesus, you know all things about me. You know all my attitudes and thoughts. You know where I have treated others unjustly. I know I need your forgiveness. Please make me aware of my sins and of my sinfulness. Please forgive me! I want from this day to live a life in peace with God! Lord Jesus, I ask you to be my lord and my guide to salvation!” Amen.

A Song Sung by People from Many Nations
Here is a video with a blessing song sung by believers from many nations. I thought this fit in well with today’s post. God is willing to save people from all kinds of backgrounds and countries around the world.
