Motivation of Christian Love

Here it is, my new feature image for my posts on the third part of 1 Corinthians 13:7. In the following posts I am going to deal with hope.

I do not know what images you might choose to illustrate hope. I thought any picture of spring might be suitable. Commonly in poetry spring is used to speak of hope and new life, whereas autumn symbolises harvest.

Just think of the barrenness of winter when nothing seems to grow. You can hardly find any green and no flowers.

Quite possibly you would not find this picture very attractive. Only interest we actually had some snow in the winter five years ago.

The tree managed to survive the winter. It stood firm yet there was nothing particularly pleasant about it.

Indeed you might consider it something miraculous when few months later trees apparently from nowhere are manifesting some fresh green. Just have a look at my following photograph:

Just imagine how many hours of work it would require if you were to fix thousands of small decorative leaves on a large tree like this one. But believe it or not, these leaves sprang forth on their own accord. This was not the result of any specific human effort.

You may not consider it particularly marvelous when in March you find some green grass and a bird meandering there. Grass may retain its greenishness even in winter. Nevertheless, I find, early spring is a good time of the year as nature seems to be reawakened.

By the time of May you will be able to discover not only green leaves but also some flowers on trees. Life is coming back. There is hope. The barrenness and bleakness of winter has passed away.

You need not feel depressed or discouraged anymore. You can see with your own eyes that after wintertime a springtime is following.

Yet there is something else I need to emphasise for the purpuse of this blogpost. The beautiful flowers on a tree are admirable on their own. But they also point to some desirable happening merely a couple of months later.

Some of the springtime flowers on trees are a sign of hope. The time is at hand when these trees are going to procur some tasty and healthy fruit!

Are you beginning to understand what I am up to today? Some blessings such as springtime are a token that allows us to hope for greater things to come. The early sprouts of springtime already do point to a prospective harvest in late summer or early autumn!

After a discouraging wintertime and a busy spring and summertime months are going to follow where you can reap some good food. Food will strenghten you and enhance your health!
